I had an assignment this week to take pictures using full manual mode and the modes were you choose the aperture (Av) or the shutter speed (Tv). Here's what I'm going to bring to the class on Monday. Click on any of them to see its full description on flickr.
And here's one more in memory of my dad's aunt who was an absolutely wonderful woman who passed away unexpectedly this week. My parents found this slide in a box full of old photos/slides in the basement. Don't you wonder where they were off to?
Very cool! I can't wait to hear more about your assignments :)
ReplyDeleteIn lieu of a course, I bought a book that incorporates basic photography + the specifics of the XSi. It's working pretty well so far.
ReplyDeleteKris, these are great photos! You really were able to do so much with playing with depth of field and shutter speed and no flash looks SO good. It will be exciting to see all your new assignment photos!
ReplyDeleteThat's great. Photos are frustrating this week. I may need to read my manual! 8^)
ReplyDeleteLove the thread photo. And that first bowling photo is great!
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your class!
Kris, technology is passing me by at lightning speed so I'm curious what kind of camera you're using? I still have my old Canon 35mm but now that I've gone to a digital PowerShot for convenience I miss playing with all the settings! I'm also jealous how you organize your bobbins - what are the blue plastic thingys?
ReplyDeleteLOVE those first three. Gorgeous! I took a photography class last summer and have rarely used the flash since either. Natural light rocks. :)
ReplyDeleteYour photos all look great! Sounds like the class is definitely a worthwhile one. :)
ReplyDeletethanks for sharing!! it looks like you are enjoying class & learning lots!
ReplyDeletewait a minute ... I think that's the most genius idea I've ever seen -- keeping the bobbins on top of the thread they go with? Why have I not thought of this!?
ReplyDeleteOkay, you've convinced me- gotta take a photo class! (I even have a free one that came with my camera... that's now two years old! Wonder if I can still take the class??)
ReplyDeleteGreat pics!
ReplyDeleteHow did you get your photos from flickr into your blog like that? Flickr has not been cooperating lately and I can't drag/drop my pictures into blogger anymore. Thanks!
I almost took that class! Huge bummer! I'll have to take it next time around!!!
